COLLEGE OF FINE ARTS

The mission of the College of Fine Arts is to foster critical thinking about the evolving history of human expression. The College shares lessons learned as well as explores new questions through creative and scholarly activity; educates artists and future audiences for the arts; and aspires to deepen understanding of what the arts have meant to the cultural heritage of New Mexico, the Americas and the world.

The College of Fine Arts comprises six units:

• Bainbridge Bunting Memorial Slide Library;
• Department of Art and Art History;
• Department of Music;
• Department of Theatre and Dance;
• Department of Media Arts;
• Tamarind Institute.

The Dean of the College of Fine Arts reports to the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs.
