A70.1: International Affairs Committee
Policy

The function of the International Affairs Committee is to set policy for the International Center and all programs aimed at effectuating social, cultural, and intellectual exchanges between the UNM academic community and its foreign students. In order to carry out everyday activities of the center, the committee will select a director under guidelines established by the committee.
(Two faculty members appointed by the Faculty Senate; one administrative representative [normally the Director of the Office of International Programs and Services or designee]; two graduate students appointed by the Graduate Professional Student Association (GPSA); and two undergraduate students, one of whom shall be an ASUNM senator, appointed by ASUNM. The Director of the International Center will serve ex officio, as may other persons deemed appropriate by the committee; The committee shall choose its chairperson from among its student members by the first meeting in November. The chair will vote only in the event of a tie.)
